Although today’s prayer is for those who are mourning any loss, my heart is particularly heavy for those who are experiencing the loss of a loved one. I’d like to share a personal message that I wrote for a friend as she sat by her mother’s hospice bedside. Today, I’m enduring my second season of cancer treatments, and stoic silence is not an option. Expressing my heartache, confusion, and sorrows connects my prayers with the compassionate heart of the Father. The process of lament leads me beyond my pain and feelings of despair and into the joys of rich fellowship with Christ.
